On October 6, 2018, a sold-out crowd, the largest in MANA de San Diego history, attended the 2018 Latina Success Conference at San Diego State University. MANA de San Diego welcomed HerMANAs from MANA de North County and MANA de Sonoma who attended the conference with their Hermanitas. Also, in the audience, were the two San Diego representatives to MANA National, Celina Caprio, Board Chair, and Catherine Arambula, Western Region Representative.

A poll using Guidebook led by MANA de San Diego President, Venus Molina. challenged the audience to look at areas where they can make a difference in their communities. The Presenting Sponsor, Southwest Airlines, offered participants a $100 gift card for a $150 donation to MANA de San Diego. In addition, any participant who became a member or upgraded their membership was eligible for a drawing for a ticket anywhere Southwest Airlines flies!
Sixteen workshops on the topics of leadership, career, finance, and health, conducted by experts in those fields, provided excellent education. Among the top-level presenters was Embajadora Marcela Celorio, Consul General who recognized MANA de San Diego for our work to educate women.
