Cecilia Cazares Olloqui - Estrella
Cecilia Cazares Olloqui became a MANA member in 1999 when she was working in Binational Public Affairs for SDG&E where MANA was first introduced to her. Cecilia is now the Director of Business Development for Sentry Pacific Financial Group. She remembers initially feeling that MANA’s mission and goals aligned with her values of women helping women, and making a positive impact in our communities. The group dedicates their time to empowering people to succeed through investment advising, financial literacy, strategic literacy, strategic tax planning, and wealth management.
Cecilia, also known to many as Ceci, has been a part of MANA for almost 20 years and has served on multiple committees. She is currently serving on the Latina Success Conference Committee. In the past she has served on the Latina Success Leadership Committee, on past LSC committees, and past Brindis Gala committees as well. In the early 2000’s she served on the MANA’s Speaker’s Bureau, where she presented to various high school students and served as a role model and motivated students to succeed no matter what challenges lied ahead of them.
Ceci’s proudest accomplishment has been her participation and involvement in the collaborative effort that launched the Latina Success Leadership Program. This program led by Adela Garcia and Dr.Lupe Buell has graduated dozens of Latinas, many of whom have gone on to hold executive positions with well-established organizations.
When asked what inspires her to continue her work at MANA she replied, “Our work is not done yet. I envision an Executive Leadership Program that offers a path to grow young prospective leaders of tomorrow and sets the stage for these young leaders to take the organization to the next level.” She continued to answer this question by saying that she is also inspired by the multiple professional women that she works with who have helped bring MANA to where it is because of their genuine commitment and dedication to this organization.
Something about Ceci that most people do not know is that two years ago after a 26-year career at SDG&E, she decided to transition to a new professional focus. In her new role at Sentry Pacific Financial Group, she can contribute to the firm's role of providing financial guidance and dedicate the second half of her career to the empowerment of women and business in our communities. We appreciate Ceci’s expertise, positive energy, and can- do attitude that she constantly brings to the table. Ceci is a MANA Estrella!
