Claudia Cardenas - Estrella

“I joined MANA to commit to an organization that has a long-standing history of influencing the community through health, education, and advocacy.”

Claudia Cardenas is a San Diego South Bay native. Inspired by her father who served as a firefighter and mother who was involved in MECHA and the Chicano Federation. In 2006, she began her career in EMS as an EMT. As Operations Manager for American Medical Response, Claudia is responsible for the overall operational and financial performance of 400 employees, providing ambulance service to five major hospital systems, which accounts for over 60,000 patient transports annually.

One of Claudia’s proudest accomplishments at MANA has been her ability to combine her passion of serving the community both in the medical field and the Latina community by acting as the liaison of her organization to MANA. Claudia’s passion and energy is something that has always shown through in every aspect of her work at MANA. When asked what inspires her to continue her work at MANA, her response was “meeting and being influenced by high energy, intelligent, and motivated women that make things happen.”  Claudia is nothing short of a high energy, intelligent, motivated woman, and we are excited to see what she brings to the table.

Claudia Cardenas became a MANA member in 2016, and joined the MANA Membership Committee in 2017. Claudia is a MANA Estrella.
